Hip Pain

Is Hip Pain Slowing You Down?
If I was to explain how FIR (far-infrared) therapy could substantially reduce the amount of hip pain you're having to endure, would you listen?

What if I was to tell you that for pennies a day, you could purchase a comfortable and convenient therapy product to help heal the source of your hip pain, allowing you to return to a more active lifestyle. Would you want to know more?

Basic Hip Anatomy

Here is some basic anatomy to help understand why you have a sore hip.

Your hip is the largest weight bearing joint in your body. The hip joint consists of two parts: the hip socket and the rounded "ball" at the top of the thigh bone that fits into it.

Smooth, glossy cartilage covers the two bone surfaces where they meet, providing a cushion for ease of motion. Every time you take a step the "Ball" at the top of the femur moves around in its smooth fitting "house". Range of motion is vast - as unlike your knee that swings back and forth, the hip joint can swing back and forth, side to side and turn. Perfect in design for all kinds of activities.

Look inside the Hip Joint

Every time you take a step the "Ball" at the top of the femur moves around in its smooth fitting "house". Range of motion is vast, but also the pain can be if the cartilage is warn or damaged. Damaged cartilage can lead to various forms of arthritis.

Why do I have pain in my hip?

When the cartilage thins out and breaks down, unprotected bone surfaces rub against each other and cause extreme pain.

Common causes of Hip Pain:
  • Injuries from sports activities, falling down, slipping on ice, or car accidents.
  • Disease resulting in a broken or deteriorated bone, irritated bursae, or worn cartilage. Damaged cartilage leads to various forms of arthritis.
  • Arthritis. The three most common types are Osteoarthritis, Rheumatoid arthritis and Traumatic arthritis. When the cartilage thins out and breaks down, unprotected bone surfaces rub against each other and cause extreme pain.

Whatever the cause Prolotex™ "Smart Material" clothing will help to relieve your hip pain and allow you to get on with your day.

What are the Symptoms of Hip Osteoarthritis?

  • Steady aching pain that becomes more severe as the disease advances
  • Groin pain when walking
  • Pain worsens with activity
  • Painful, limping gait
  • Range of hip motion is progressively lost
  • X-ray's show joint deterioration

This disease usually affects older people 50 - 80 years and may affect people with a family history of arthritis.

What are the Symptoms of Hip Rheumatoid Arthritis

  • Fatigue
  • Restless sleepless nights
  • Joint and soreness
  • Stiffness when walking
  • Aching joints
  • Loss of appetite
  • Lumps may form under the skin
  • Fever

As many as 36 million people in the United States have some form of arthritis or joint inflammation. It is a major cause of lost work time and serious disability for many people. Unlike Osteoarthritis, Rheumatoid Arthritis can affect people of all ages though is more common in those over 45 years. More women than men are generally affected.

Hip Joint Pain from Injuries

Serious hip injuries, dislocations or fractures can lead to a condition called Avascular Necrosis - the blood supply to the ball (the ball-shaped piece of bone that fits into the socket of the hip) portion of the thighbone is cut off and the bone begins to break down causing the cartilage on top of it to collapse. As a result, the surrounding cartilage begins to deteriorate, producing pain and other symptoms

Main Causes:

  • hip fracture that tears the vessels supplying blood to the head of the femur
  • steroid medications, such as prednisone and other immune suppressant drugs
  • chronic asthma
  • rheumatoid arthritis
  • lupus
  • organ transplants & other surgeries

Hip Bursitis usually triggered by injury

Nearly 60 percent of cases of hip pain are caused by hip bursitis - specifically trochanteric bursitis (painful inflammation of the bursa that covers the upper part of the thighbone [femur]). This form of bursitis can affect anyone, but is more common in women from ages 45 - 80.

Main Causes:

  • Abnormal patterns of walking
  • standing too long
  • different length of legs
  • lying on one side of the body too long
  • falling from a slip on an icy sidewalk
  • traumatic & minor accidents
  • overuse
  • previous hip surgery or hip replacement
  • hip replacement
  • scoliosis or other spinal diseases
  • rheumatoid arthritis

Hip Pain Has Many Factors

Hip problems can cause excruciating pain for the simplest of activities - getting up or sitting down in a chair. Serious hip injuries, dislocations or fractures can lead to a condition called Avascular Necrosis - the blood supply to the ball portion of the thighbone is cut off and the bone begins to break down causing the cartilage on top of it to collapse.

As a result, the surrounding cartilage begins to deteriorate, producing pain and other symptoms, making it impossible to get around without the use of a cane, walker or wheelchair. If this describes your condition and you're not happy about it, then read on...

What if I was to tell you that Far Infrared Therapy could help heal the deteriorating condition of your hip joint, which is the most likely reason you're suffering from chronic hip pain in the first place. Would you want to try it?

Even if you are already taking a prescribed pharmaceutical drug to cope with the pain of sore hips, FIR (Far Infrared Rays) Therapy can be an important step towards rejuvenating and maintaining the molecular health of your hip joint. It's natural, safe and remarkably effective.

FIR Therapy Recommended for Post Hip Surgery Patients

Total hip replacement is a routine surgery with very predictable results. Over 300,000 Americans receive hip implants each year.

Take Prolotex Far Infrared garments with you to the hospital or have your friend or family member bring them to you after surgery. All you need to do is wear the tops and bottoms while you are recovering to aid in the healing during post surgery.

The Far Infrared fabric will help to heal the tissues, mend the surgery incision, rejuvenate the nerve endings and speed up healing process.

Your rehabilitation program - which begins the day of your surgery - will be much easier and less painful for you when you wear the cell rejuvenation clothing. We believe that just by wearing Prolotex FIR Clothing, your bed ridden days will be shortened, you will be sitting up more comfortably in your chair, and even walking around testing out your "new hip" faster than without.

I LOVE my Prolotex Long Underwear

Prolotex™ FIR Pants to the Rescue

By wearing Prolotex™ comfortable long bottoms, circulation within your hip joints is dramatically increased. Blood vessels and capillaries are dilated allowing fresh nutrients and oxygen to reach damaged areas. The healing process is enhanced and the elimination of accumulated toxins can begin.

Prolotex™garments are made with a special patented fabric, fused with a bio-ceramic formula that emits and reflects natural far infrared light energy deep into your hip joints. FIR energy offers you a safe, cost effective, and value added means of reducing joint pain while improving your overall heath.

Added Value

Here's an interesting fact; uric acid builds up in the joints, forming crystals. These sharp little buggers prick and jab away as we move around, adding to the level of joint pain you're experiencing.

Guess what? Far infrared rays shatter and dissolve these little "outlaws", effectively eliminating them and the pain they cause.

It's just one more health benefit you receive from wearing Prolotex™ Products.
