What is Dupuytren's Disease?
Connective tissues in the hand and skin thicken to the degree that the function of the tendons are affected.
The little finger and ring finger are more likely to be affected than your other fingers or thumbs. Condition is not that painful - more annoying than anything, as it can restrict the normal full range of finger motion.
Possible causes of Dupuytren's Contracture are thought to be hereditary but, have shown up in people who are heavy drinkers and smokers. Some cases are associated with diabetes, epilepsy, and those with thyroid problems.
Treating Dupuytren's Contracture:
A visit to your doctor is advised as the thickening of the skin may be an indication of a more serious medical condition.
We recommend using Prolotex™ Far Infrared Therapy Gloves for reducing the thickening of connective tissue.
FIR Gloves help to improve the circulation and aid in preventing the excessive thickening and contracting of the connective tissue (the palmar fascia) in your hands.
Wearing Prolotex™ Infrared Gloves on a regular basis can help keep your fingers to be more flexible and help to relax layer of fibrous tissue beneath the skin of the palm and fingers.
Your hands are worth looking after!
I bought your gloves for a friend who suffered from arthritis but she was loth to try them at first.. then I spotted that they could "slow down collagen growth" and thought WOW
FIR Gloves for Dupuytren's Disease?
The threads in Prolotex™ Gloves are fused with a safe formula of bio-ceramics that emit beneficial far infrared rays (FIR). These safe waves of soothing FIR energy penetrate deep into the tissues.
FIR Energy helps reduce the excessive buildup of the connective tissue in your hands by increasing the molecular activity of the cells.
The stimulation of the tiny capillaries and veins in your fingers and hands dilate the cells and allow fresh oxygenated blood containing vital nutrients to reach the over stress areas. Better circulation to the skin means better overall health of your hands.
