Finger Psoriasis

What is Finger Psoriasis?

Psoriasis is a skin disorder where there is an overproduction of cells. Symptoms include red scaly patches on and around the fingertips and base of the fingernails of your hands.

Fingernail Psoriasis is when the live span of the skin cells is "sped up" or accelerated. The condition changes the appearance of the fingers and fingernails. Skin cells build up quickly, become whiter in appearance, scaly and sections flake off easily. Most people also experience a burning sensation and have itchy toes.

    Other visible changes include:
    • discoloring under the fingernail plate
    • pitting of the fingernails
    • splitting of the fingernails
    • lines going across the fingernails
    • a rippling or pitting of the nail surface
    • thickening of the skin under the nail
    • separation of the fingernail from the nail bed
    • crumbling of the fingernail

Finger Psoriasis is not contagious. Possible causes of fingernail psoriasis are related to weather conditions (to hot and/or too dry and cold), diet (low levels of calcium), emotional stress that affect the immune system and hereditary genes.

Once you have the condition, several additional factors can trigger a "flare-up". Infections like strep throat and tooth abscesses can cause a flare-up. Some drugs used to treat conditions, like bipolar, gout high blood pressure or even malaria can trigger a flare-up.

Gloves are soft and comfortable to wear. Wear FIR Gloves day and night to help your fingers.

That's right... all you have to do is wear them! And they even look good - no one will notice that you are wearing these special infrared "miracle" gloves!

    FIR Gloves Treat Fingernail Psoriasis?

The threads in Prolotex™ Gloves are impregnated with a safe formula of bio-ceramics that emit beneficial far infrared rays (FIR). These safe waves of soothing FIR energy penetrate deep into the tissues of your fingers helping to restore the health of your fingers and fingernails by increasing the molecular activity of the cells.

The stimulation of the tiny capillaries and veins in your fingers dilate the cells and allow fresh oxygenated blood containing vital nutrients to reach the over stress areas. Better circulation to the fingers means better overall health of your hands.
