What is Gout?

When excess uric acid crystals collect in and around the toe joints - especially the big toe - it is called Gout. Uric acid crystals are like sharp little needles that "prick" and irritate the joint.

As a result of high concentrations of uric acid in the blood stream, the crystals form in several locations throughout the body, but are most painful near the joints.

The condition can be from a mild discomfort to very painful. A "burning pain" is often used to describe the feeling. Toe joints are usually swollen, red and stiff. Skin tenderness and pain is also experienced even with the slightest touch of a bed sheet drifting across your toes. Some people even cut their shoes to ease the pressure on their toes.

Gout usually affects more men than women and usually those in their 40's & 50's. Some 2.1 million Americans have gout... that's approximately 840 out of every 100,000 people!

Gout is more common in those suffering from obesity, hypertension, hyperlipidemia and diabetes.

      Treating Gout in your Feet

      Treating Gout in Your Feet:

The first object in treatment is to relieve the pain and swelling of the toes. Secondly, you will want to reduce the levels of acid in your system that is causing the condition.

Take a good look at your diet. Are you eating foods that have higher acidic levels like red meat, fried foods, saturated fats and alcohol?

Not only do Prolotex™ Infrared Therapy Socks help to reduce the gout pain, but the infrared waves can actually break down and reduce the uric acid crystals.

Many other people have had good success by wearing the socks at night while sleeping.

That's right... all you have to do is wear them!

Can Infrared Socks Help Heal Gout?

Yes! Far Infrared Rays emitted from Prolotex™ Bio Ceramic Socks breaks down the Uric Acid crystals.

Prolotex™ specialty socks are fused with a safe formula of bio-ceramics that emit beneficial far infrared rays (FIR).

These waves of soothing energy penetrate deep into the tissues of your toes and basically increase (stimulate) the molecular activity of the cells.

The stimulation of the tiny capillaries and veins in your body dilate the cells and allow fresh oxygenated blood containing vital nutrients to reach afflicted areas. Pain is eased, swelling and inflammation is greatly reduced and the cellular healing process is promoted.

Far Infrared Rays are very helpful in reducing inflammation and relieving your pain.

Depending on the severity of your condition, and how long you have been experiencing symptoms, it may take a bit longer to feel the benefits of natural FIR therapy.
